Course Structure

Introduction to Supply Chain Management – In this session we understand the end to end supply chain, discuss the goal of a supply chain and explain the impact of supply chain decisions on the success of a firm. We then identify the key supply chain decision phases and explain the significance of each one. And finally we introduce the concept of strategic fit.
Logistics Management – Transportation Understand the role of transportation in a supply chain, evaluate the different modes of transportation, identify the relative strengths and weaknesses of various transportation network design options and planning transportation capacity and how technology will change the transportation of the future.
Logistics management – Warehousing – This session will cover warehouse activity profiling, understanding warehouse KPIs, design elements of warehouse and warehouse capacity planning and how technology is shaping warehouse of the future.
Inventory Management – This module covers the strategic, operational, and tactical aspects of inventory management, including cycle and safety stock, inventory models, including EOQ.
International Logistics – This session will cover the significant issues in international logistics, Exim procedures.
Managing Sourcing & Procurement – An introduction to procurement from procure to pay process to strategic sourcing and procurement 4.0
Supply Chain Cost – From TCO to Cost to Serve – This session will identify key performance indicators (KPIs) of supply chain for business profitability, understand how supply chain management can help EBITDA, and understand TCO and Cost to Serve
Planning in Supply Chain management – focuses on effective supply chain strategies for companies that operate globally, with an emphasis on how to predict future requirements for raw materials, components, etc. to help balance supply and demand.
Managing Supply Chain Risk and Resilience – How to identify the sources of risk in a supply chain, explore models for managing and planning for uncertainties and risk, understand the key supply chain risks and how these are interrelated, and building resilience.
Supply chain as a Strategy – Evaluating the right supply chain for your product, understanding the current trends in supply chain, understanding impact of sustainability and technology on the supply chain, and structuring supply chains fit for the future.

Program Duration

The Course will be delivered every Saturdays between 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM for ten weeks.

Participants who attend all classes, complete the assign and pass the final exam will be awarded the credential Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM)

The Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM) is a designed in India certification program from the Institute of Supply Chain Management that provides a holistic approach to supply chain management. The aim of the program is to provide the participants with the ability to understand and master the art and science of supply chain and logistics management.

The program was developed in consultation with the leaders in Logistics and Supply Chain from the industry and ISCM faculty. It covers the demands from the industry. The program will be constantly updated to reflect the changing requirements from the industry.

Yes you can. It will give you a good grounding in the foundations of supply chain management and start you on your career.

It is preferable for the candidates who wish to take up the certification should have 2-3 years relevant experience. The experience helps them leverage the classes in their daily work.

The exam covers the entire modules covered in the sessions. To excel in the exams, you have to attend all classes, participate in the case discussions, complete your assignments and keep up to date with your readings we send you. You need not invest in any other material. We would say an hours study per day for the duration of the course should help you.

The exam will be conducted on-line

The exam consists of three sections:

  • Section 1: MCQ for 20 marks
  • Section 2: Descriptive questions for 30 marks
  • Section 3: Interpretative questions for 30 marks
  • 20 marks will be for class participation.

Once you qualify, you can add the credential of CSCL as your credential.

No. There are participants who have not taken the exams. But we would urge you to take the exam as it provides a proof of your success.

Under exceptional circumstances, we will re-schedule exams for those who are unable to give the exams on the date announced. This will be at the discretion of ISCM.

No. This is a capability building program. We do not provide placements.

Registration, Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations received up to 7 business days prior to date of training will not be charged the course fee. ISCM will process the refunds within 7 to 10 Working days from receipt of the cancellation notice.
  • Cancellations within 7 business days prior to training date, and in no-show up case, registrants liable to pay full amount.
  • Substitutions within a company are permitted, requests must be submitted through email.
  • ISCM reserves the right to amend content, faculty, venue and date of the training program.
  • In case ISCM cancels the training, participants will be refunded the course fee in full within 7 to 10 working days from announcement of cancellation.
  • ISCM shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages that may be incurred due to such cancellation.
  • ISCM will deduct the charges levied by the payment gateway when processing the refund.

  • Will focus on understanding uncertainty in Supply Chain. What is the impact of the Pandemic, natural disaster and Geopolitical events on the overall performance of Supply Chain. Discussion will also center around mapping of the Supply Chain by enhancing the understanding of end-to-end supply chain.
  • In the face of challenges, resilience is a vital necessity. Near-term issues of cash management for liquidity and solvency are clearly paramount. But soon afterward, businesses will need to act on broader resilience plans as the shock begins to upturn established industry structures, resetting competitive positions forever. What would be a good Business continuity program for organizations during any disruptive events.
  • Will focus on rethinking how the supply chain Planning needs to be configured and structured to enable it to respond to black swan events like the pandemic. What is the future of supply chain planning? What are the assumptions that will change? how to build more resilient supply chain planning processes? How can one leverage technology and analytics for decision making? what kind of forecasting will still be relevant?
  • The future of Supply Chain are being defined by end to end integration. Technology is a big enabler. How firms are building tech intersity, Digital maturity and Digital democratisation? How will Analytics, AI and ML change the power of transformation
  • Will examine the various design options and the financial implications in terms of securing supply bases , unlocking funds and understanding deep tier risks of raw materials, packaging materials. How can firms create more resilient strategic sourcing practices and use mapping tools to build a robust and resilient supply management.
  • Will focus on the design implications of rethinking the Logistics and distribution networks in terms of building agility and efficiency on one hand and providing alternative last mile solutions on the other. It will explore the dynamics of e-commerce surge the role of omni-channels and last mile service provider? We will map the future of the this landscape with major technological development.
  • Climate changes has brought organisations at crossroads. We need a next level of climate actions and Supply Chain will play a big role in terms of reducing upstream, downstream and emissions from facilities, plants, etc. This session will explore the supply chain opportunity.
  • Dynamic alignment across functions and across partner organizations, needs a well thought out, Integrated business plan, which encompases short run, mid as well as long run in the planning process. This session will elaborate on IBP as a tool for dynamic alignment.
